As you may have guess by the name, I grew up a Nerdy Theater Kid. But more than the stage itself, my favorite moments always happened backstage in the dressing rooms - or the "greenrooms." Where there’s total trust that you’re seen and accepted as who you are out of the spotlight, because nobody has to be “in character” yet. The place where we'd go to put our costumes on before the show, and take them off after.
The place where everyone belongs. The place you come to be yourself between performances.
In The Greenroom, you can be your real hair down, shoes off, back in your own skin self.
This is behind the scenes beauty.
I am very passionate about helping people literally and figuratively feel comfortable in their own skin.
I look forward to helping you with your skin and beauty goals soon, whatever they may be.
I use exclusively Korean skincare in my studio, and I can't wait to share it with you! South Korea is - in my opinion and experience - the absolute world leader when it comes to cosmetic chemistry and product formulation.
These products have amazing, well studied ingredients, many of which aren't readily available in American brands. I feel these are both more gentle and more effective at addressing skin concerns, while focusing largely on protecting the skin's moisture barrier.
Some of these include oxygen therapy treatments, a probiotic approach to sensitized skin, an anti-aging line that focuses on ceramides and peptides, and the absolute superhero of Korean skincare - Centella Asiatica (Cica for short), which has soothing and healing properties I did not think were possible in a topical application.
All of my facials include a double cleanse, thorough skin analysis, and utilize professional Korean products specifically chosen for your individual skin type and needs, and always finish with recommendations for home care so we can keep your skin taken care of between appointments.
This is a practice originally rooted in Chinese medicine, now widely used among spas. A Gua Sha tool is a smooth, specially shaped stone used to encourage lymphatic drainage, increase blood circulation, tone facial muscles, reduce inflammation, and release tension. I love using them during facial massage, especially if your face looks like it could use a little lift.
Originally developed by Nicola Tesla in the late 1800's, and historically used to expedite wound healing, this device involves a glass wand containing argon or neon gas. When applied to the surface of the skin, a mild electrical current passes through the electrode, producing enriched oxygen molecules which create an anti-bacterial action and a natural thermal tissue warming to disinfect, oxygenate, and heal skin. I love this tool for acne clients and post-wax redness or irritation.
This is an awesome multi-purpose tool that conducts a skin analysis, exfoliates, and increases product penetration. With its smart skin analyzer, it reads hydration levels by measuring the electrical resistance of your skin. In cleansing mode, the oscillation (30,000-33,000hZ) delivers ultrasonic sound waves which loosen and draw excess debris from pores as it slides over skin. In firming and nutrition mode, it allows skincare ingredients to be absorbed deeper into the skin. It also connects to an app which allows me to scan your face to give a visual representation of pigmentation, aging signs, and dehydration.
